Dr Allen Yeoh Eng Juh

A/Prof Allen Yeoh is the Vice-President of BMDP since 2005. He is also an Associate Professor and Senior Consultant in the University Children’s Medical Institute, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. His area of interest is in translational clinical research in childhood acute Leukaemia and he is the principal investigator of the multi-centre Malaysia-Singapore Study Group for childhood acute lymphoblastic Leukaemia and acute myeloid Leukaemia trials. He is a recipient of numerous awards including the American Society of Hematology Merit Award 2001, Singapore Youth Award 2003, Asian Innovation Award 2003, Clinician Scientist Awards 2004 and 2008.

A/Prof Allen Yeoh received his medical degrees from NUS and was trained in the St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, USA. He is a founding member of BMDP when the parents of his patient, Andrew Loong died of very high risk Leukaemia after failing to find a suitable bone marrow donor from the family.
