Vision

To build a register of bone marrow donors and offer a chance of a cure for patients with leukaemia and other potentially life-threatening blood-related diseases.

 

Mission

• To maintain and grow the BMDP register as the key source for patients with leukaemia and other blood-related diseases in their search for compatible and unrelated bone marrow donors.
• To finance testing of bone-marrow donors and making the information on the HLA phenotypes and other relevant data easily accessible to patients in search of compatible donors for transplant.
• To finance research into the causes and treatment of blood-related diseases.
• To educate the public and promote further understanding of blood-related diseases.
