President's Message

Dear Friends,

Thank you for visiting our website and giving us a chance to share the mission and work of the BMDP with you.

I would like to take this opportunity to highlight the contributions that our bone marrow donors have made to blood cancer patients. Their willingness and bravery in donating their bone marrow has helped to save many lives over the years. Each year the BMDP facilitates an average of 60 transplants by finding a suitable match for men, women and young children with leukemia and other blood related diseases.

We need more people to come forward to volunteer and pledge their bone marrow and go onto the BMDP register. If you have not signed-up with us, do email admin@bmdp.org or call our office and we will help you to become a bone marrow volunteer and you can help save a life.

Many people are supporting the BMDP's work of growing and maintaining the register through volunteering, donating money for tissue typing and appointing BMDP as their adopted charity. If you are able to help us in any of these areas, please contact us at friends@bmdp.org.

My personal involvement with the BMDP came about after my daughter, Sarah, was diagnosed with leukemia some years ago. It is now my passion, along with other members of the BMDP committee and staff to increase the awareness for bone marrow donation.

Your involvement and feedback is valuable to us and we look forward to keeping in touch with you and serving our community together.

Yours sincerely,

Clement Lim
