Donation

Bone Marrow Donor Programme (BMDP) will only contact you if you are found to be a match to a patient. If you are selected, a patient's doctor has identified you as the best donor. You may be the one to save the life of a patient who has no other chance of survival.

Becoming a donor is a serious commitment. We will provide all the information you need every step of the way and will:

 

• Schedule an information session
• Answer your questions
• Schedule an appointment with a Medical Doctor to make sure the donation is safe for both you and the patient
• Guide you through the donation process

 

You make the final decision to become a donor. You may agree to donate or you can say no. We will respect your decision either way. For more information to help you decide, see FAQs.
